Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made with First Storytellers Collective, including our programs Little Yarns, Big Yarns, Shake a Leg Shakespeare, workshops, incursions, and cultural experiences.

By submitting a booking, you agree to the following:

Bookings and Confirmations

  • All bookings must be made via our online form, email, or other approved channels.

  • Bookings are not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from First Storytellers Collective.

  • Final details (e.g., participant numbers, access requirements) must be confirmed at least 7 days prior to the booking date.

 

Fees and Payment

  • All program fees are outlined in your quote or invoice.

  • A 50% deposit may be required to confirm your booking (as specified in your invoice).

  • Full payment is due within 14 days of the event date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Payments can be made by bank transfer or as specified on your invoice.

 

Cancellations and Changes

By the Client:

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the scheduled date will not incur a cancellation fee.

  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the booking may incur a 50% cancellation fee.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled session are non-refundable.

  • Requests to reschedule are subject to availability.

By First Storytellers Collective:

  • If we need to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, weather, travel disruptions), we will notify you as soon as possible and offer a reschedule or full refund.

 

Site and Safety Requirements

  • The client is responsible for providing a safe and appropriate space for the session (e.g. indoor/outdoor space, access to water, shade, toilets).

  • First Storytellers Collective must be notified of any site-specific risks, hazards, or access needs.

  • For sessions involving food, paint, or sensory play, please notify us of any allergies or sensitivities ahead of time.

 

Media Consent and Documentation

  • We may request permission to take photos or videos during our sessions for use in reporting and promotional materials.

  • Media will only be captured or used with prior consent from the client and, where applicable, parents or guardians.

 

Participant Responsibility and Behaviour

  • The client is responsible for ensuring appropriate supervision of children or participants during the session.

  • Facilitators must be treated with respect and cultural safety must be upheld at all times.

  • We reserve the right to stop the session if there is a risk to the safety or wellbeing of participants or staff.

 

Cultural Protocols and Respect

  • Our programs are led by First Nations artists and knowledge holders. Cultural protocols and practices must be respected.

  • Content, designs, and knowledge shared during experiences are protected by Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) rights and may not be reproduced without permission.

 

Liability

  • First Storytellers Collective maintains public liability insurance.

  • We are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred during a session unless due to our proven negligence.

 

Privacy

  • All personal information collected is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and relevant Australian privacy laws.

 

Agreement

By proceeding with a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
